07080 Literary Reading/Analysis/Writing for Grade 7-8 (New Books)
Instructor: Dr. Katharine Sprecher
Students will explore literary genres, elements, and devices to think about and write literary analyses that examine the authors' employment of techniques such as symbolism, theme, point of view, voice, and characterization. The course will include strategies for decoding new vocabulary, reading comprehension, annotating and note-taking, brainstorming unique ideas, and crafting well-articulated analyses.
